Accommodation in Belém
The II ECOPOLTUR will be held at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) Campus in the Guamá neighborhood of Belém. The city offers various accommodation options, including hotels, hostels and vacation rentals (Airbnb).
About the importance of booking in advance: 2025 is a special year for Belém, which will host COP30 (UN Conference of the Parties) in November, so several pre-Cop events are scheduled. As a result, demand for accommodation has increased considerably. We’ve listed a few possibilities and strongly suggest that you book as soon as possible.
About the opening conference: the opening Conference will take place in the Cidade Velha district, the city’s historic area. The other activities of the II ECOPOLTUR will take place on the UFPA campus in the Guamá neighborhood. Before booking accommodation in the vicinity, please check the aerial images and comments about the location. Belém is a city of contrasts, so sensitive areas with little infrastructure are close to well-structured areas.
About hotels near the university: districts located near to the campus of UFPA may not be the best option due to the lack of tourist attractions, restaurants and because and it’s not a very safe area to walk around. In addition, August is the height of summer, which makes it impossible to take walks that would apparently be easy to do.
About hotels near the airport: The hotels located near the airport or the Hangar – Convention Center, are further away from UFPA’s Campos and would require more time to travel around the city.
