The ECOPOLTUR – INTERNATIONAL MEETING “THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF TOURISM” announces its new website for the 2025 event, which will take place in Belém, Pará. This year, the event will focus on the crucial role of the Amazon in global sustainability, highlighting the biome as essential for addressing climate challenges and promoting sustainable development.
The 2025 edition will be held from August 16 to 21 and will feature renowned experts, as well as technical visits and cultural experiences. Belém, which will host COP30 in 2025, reinforces its position as a hub for environmental and sustainable bioeconomy discussions. ECOPOLTUR promises to be a platform for dialogue between academia, civil society, and global leaders, focusing on practical solutions for the preservation and sustainable use of the Amazon’s biodiversity.
The website will include information on programming, lectures, registrations, and details about technical visits and parallel activities, such as the gastronomic experience “Italo-Amazonian Delicacies.”
